Rows of flying geese in navy, teal, olive, coral and mustard prints frame large, calm cream squares. The open squares give the quilting room to show, and the geese bring the movement. It is a traditional quilt with real presence ✨

Single columns of geese run up the sides of each square, and double rows with their points meeting run across, forming a chain of little cream diamonds, exactly as in the photos. The geese are made four at a time and trimmed to size, so they come out exact even for a first flying geese quilt, and square-in-a-square cornerstones tie every crossing together.
