Scrappy rail fence blocks in magenta, teal, sage, purple and rust turn one way, then the other, each calmed by a wide cream strip. Four blocks turn around a centre so the cream strips meet in a pinwheel: a classic rail fence with a modern, airy layout. It is a cheerful, forgiving quilt made only from strips, and perfect for a stash of favourite batiks ✨

Every block is three 2½″ strips and one cream strip. The Throw uses exactly one jelly roll, and there are no points to match: the blocks simply butt together, so it is fast and relaxing to sew.
