PDF sewing pattern · Belt bag / fanny pack, two wearing positions · Beginner · Full-size printable pattern pieces · Instant download — no physical item shipped

Lengthen the strap and it's a crossbody. Shorten it and it sits at the waist. Same bag, same pattern, two completely different looks — which is why this is the bag that actually gets worn instead of living in a drawer.

The body is a soft rectangle with rounded corners and a slight curve at the top, so it follows the line of the hip rather than sitting square and bulky. Two zips: a main compartment across the top and a second slim zip pocket on the front for a phone.

It's a beginner pattern with one genuine skill in it — setting a zip into a curved seam — and the instructions give that step its own photo sequence rather than one line and a diagram. Everything else is short straight seams.

Small parts list, small fabric requirement, finished in an afternoon. Three fat quarters will do it.

⚙️ How It Works

  1. Download instantly. Your files arrive the moment your order is confirmed — nothing is shipped.
  2. Print at 100%. Check the test square, then cut your panels, lining and interfacing.
  3. Set the zips. The curved main zip has its own photo sequence — take it slowly and the rest is easy.
  4. Assemble and adjust. Attach the strap, pick your length, and wear it at the waist or across the chest.

Questions makers ask

Do I need a special printer?
Nope! Every pattern is tiled to print on a regular home printer using standard A4 or US Letter paper — just tape the pages together and you're ready to cut. Prefer no taping? Each pattern also includes a large-format A0 file you can send to a copy shop, plus a projector file if you sew with one.

Absolutely. Our patterns are designed to be beginner-friendly, with clear, illustrated step-by-step instructions that guide you through the whole process.
How do I get my pattern after I buy?

Can I sell what I make?
Yes! You're welcome to sell finished items you make from our patterns. We just ask that you don't share, resell, or redistribute the pattern files themselves.
What sizes are included?
Each pattern comes with a full size range and a detailed size chart so you can pick your perfect fit before you start. All sizes are layered in the file, so you only print the size you need.
