That's the design. Two fabrics, sewn right sides together into one shape with a single continuous strap, then turned through. One side solid, one side print, both finished, both wearable. You pick which one faces out that morning.
The shape is the classic slouchy hobo: a wide body that tapers into a single shoulder strap, soft enough to sink against the hip, big enough for a laptop in the large size. No hardware, no zip, no pockets to set, no fiddly corners — which is exactly why it's a first bag that looks nothing like a first bag.
