Wreaths are everywhere. A bow isn't — and this one is 24 inches across, pieced from patchwork squares, quilted through, bound in gingham and finished with a wrapped centre band and two long pointed tails.

Each wing and each tail is a small quilt: patchwork, wadding, backing and interfacing, quilted and then bound, so the bow keeps its shape on a door all season instead of going floppy. It's squares, straight seams and binding — a first quilting project as much as a decoration. The fabrics make the holiday: swap them and the same pattern gives you a Christmas bow, an Easter bow or a plain gingham one for the rest of the year.

🧵 What's Included
☑️ Full-size wing and tail templates for both sizes, tiled on A4 or US Letter, with a test square and a check ruler on every page
☑️ Step-by-step instructions with diagrams (10-page instruction file + 15-page template file)
☑️ Two sizes: door (shown) and wreath accent
☑️ Three Halloween colourways with full fabric lists: Purple Night, Classic Orange and Rustic Harvest
☑️ Patchwork layout charts — square size, count and placement for every panel
☑️ Quilting and interfacing guide (how to make it hold its shape)
☑️ Binding guide with mitred corners and curves
☑️ Centre band construction and tail placement
☑️ Hanging loop instructions
☑️ Fabric suggestions for four seasons
☑️ Print-friendly, text-only version

📏 Finished Measurements
Door size (shown): about 24 in wide x 27 in tall · 61 x 69 cm
Wreath accent: about 12.75 in wide x 14.25 in tall · 32 x 36 cm

Seam allowance: 1/4 in / 6 mm on the patchwork squares and centre band. The wings and tails are cut on the line with no seam allowance, because every edge is bound.

✂️ Fabric & Notions
Patchwork: quilting cotton — fat quarters, quarter yards or scraps (door: 68 squares of 4.5 in · wreath: 88 squares of 2.5 in)
Binding and band: black and white gingham — door 5/8 yd · wreath 1/3 yd
Backing: quilting cotton or cotton drill — door 1 1/4 yd · wreath 1/2 yd
Wadding: low-loft cotton — door 1 1/4 yd or a crib batt · wreath 1/2 yd
Interfacing: heavyweight fusible, 20 in wide — door 1 yd · wreath 1/3 yd
Hanging: ribbon or cord — door 14 in · wreath 8 in
